Not sure which level of class would be best to start in?

Beginner

Beginner students are brand new to the world of Latin Dance. These classes will begin with the basic steps and techniques and well as "shine" moves and styling.  As you progress, beginner classes will move at a faster pace building on the basic steps yet adding a variety of new moves and faster- paced songs. Partnering skills will be added as well as new patterns. It is recommended and beneficial to attend class 1-2 times per week for one hour for a minimum of 12 weeks. Repetition will add to muscle memory which will help with smoother transitions between patterns and steps. 

Intermediate

Intermediate students are already familiar with the basic steps of Latin dance by having completed a minimum 8-week beginner class. Intermediate students will learn warm-up moves, dynamic "shine" movements and more intricate and complex patterns with a partner.  The pace of instruction is faster and more thorough which will seamlessly build on your existing knowledge of Latin danceIt is recommended and beneficial to attend class 1-2 times per week for one hour for a minimum of 10 weeks.  Repetition will add to muscle memory which will help with smoother transitions between patterns and steps. 

Advanced

Advanced instruction is for those students who have studied Latin Dance for a minimum of one year and wish to elevate their movements to a competition level. The curriculum is faster paced with intricate foot work, multiple spin movements, 360 rotations, and expert level partner movements. It is recommended and beneficial to attend class 1-2 times per week for one hour for a minimum of 8 weeks. Repetition will add to muscle memory which will help with smoother transitions between patterns and steps.
