What does dance mean to people? It is the physical expression of relationships, feelings and ideas through movement and rhythm Dance allows people to be more active, socialize and develop creative and physical skills. Just a few of the benefits increased exercise dancing can give you are; reduced stress levels, improved relaxation, stronger bones & muscles, weight control and a healthier brain! What are the 3 purposes of dance? Most people are aware of dance as a performing art on stage, screen and media, but dancing can also be a social activity, a form of physical fitness, or a prime means of expressing cultural heritage and identity.
